All I know is that I know nothing.
I am very happy to share some images of a series of paintings that I have been working on for the last year and a half.
From one work to the next, I have allowed the unknown to obscure a more apparently conscious exploration of light, colour, transparency, touch, depth, and form. I have engaged in an intuitive, sensual and playful, interaction with process and material.
Through such a process I have experienced what Deleuze defines as « germinal chaos », which is basically a space and time in which to get lost before finding a way to give a painting its presence.
Each work has been, in turn, able to nourish the next in an endless ricochet.
